Welcome from the

Welcome from the

Head of School

Welcome to Redwood! We are so excited that you have decided to explore Redwood as a potential school for your student.

At Redwood Cooperative School, children build an educational foundation and a love of learning that will benefit them throughout their lives. Our goal is to encourage children’s creativity and curiosity through progressive, project-based learning. Through this experiential and inquiry-driven educational model, we are able to create a learning environment that nurtures each area of child development. Our classrooms invite critical and analytical thinking skills and ample opportunities to learn by doing. Our outdoor learning environment provides plenty of time to connect with nature and develop stewardship skills. During their time in our program, students will acquire knowledge and develop higher-order thinking skills as they analyze, evaluate and create while becoming problem solvers. The Redwood experience is a unique opportunity for the Lexington area and a model of progressive education for the community. We are proud to send Redwood graduates into the world as capable, kind, contributing members of society, full of integrity and compassion.

I hope to meet you soon!
